This is our first LEGO Friend’s set, a line that has been controversial for its attempts to reach girls by being really girlie. Now I have to admit that both girls in my house (my wife and Sam) love the new colors and all the cool accessories and such. The colors did not put me off, and the set had some really interesting play to it. Read on!

Co-build Rating: 4.5/5
This set has several individual components to it, so it’s ideal to building with a friend (or daughter). Sam had no problem building her pieces. We were able to keep pace with one another and the set went together quickly.
Overall Rating: 4/5
The set has a lot of play value. The drafting table is neat, the pivoting ruler is a nice detail. The desk is a little narrow, though the laptop sits on it fine. The odd hamburger piece is weird. Does anyone know what it is? The camera is a great piece, when held by the Friend, it lines up well with her head. So why not a 5? It’s a neat set, but it feels like it needs more of a setting. Sam says it has a lot of play value and she is having fun with it. Overall a great set.
